As per the latest PMLA rules, Aadhaar number should not be written on any document, if accepted as documentary proof, Aadhaar number to be mandatorily redacted / blacked out, in view of the above please ensure the following
  1. Aadhaar number is not be mentioned in the application form as an identifier
  2. Aadhaar is not accepted / furnished as proof of identity document
  3. If Aadhaar card / Document is accepted as Proof of Address, then the Aadhaar number appearing on the document to be blacked out / redacted so that it becomes illegible
  4. Please verify the Aadhaar document submitted as proof of address with its original before redacting / blacking out the Aadhaar number
Please note : KYC applications with Aadhaar number mentioned in the application form / supporting documents, the same shall not be processed further and will be retained with “hold status” for further rectification process.
